Firstly, I have used secure folder since it was introduced years ago and I can't believe how bad it is now after the one ui 8 update, I don't use a screen lock and don't want too, but now you have to use one if you want to use secure folder. This is ridiculous! You shouldn't be forced to use a screen lock when there is already a lock on the secure folder.
Next, when you are in the secure folder, there is no longer an option to close it automatically when you leave, so if you leave your phone open, someone could still get into it, it should lock as soon as you leave it.
Lastly, I can't believe that you can no longer use circle to search inside the folder, this is also ridiculous, to have an amazing feature like that and not being able to use it half of the time, what is the point in that! I have been with samsung since the original galaxy s, I am a very loyal customer but I am seriously thinking of changing, this is one of the biggest downgrades I've seen, please sort these issues

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

You raise 3 points.

Point 1. You can set this so that the Secure Folder locks "not when you lock the screen but when the screen goes off". Available in Secure Folder Settings. You don't need to use a screen lock

Point 2. Closing Secure Folder when you leave it. I agree with you. However many other users clearly fed back that they didn't hence Samsung changing it

3. Circle to Search is a Google app, not a Samsung one so likely same whichever android device you may have.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

You do need to use a screen lock or it won't let you use secure folder now.
Circle to search worked perfectly in secure folder on one ui 7, it's samsung that has now stopped this from working, which is ridiculous!

What I've realised now, this is now a massive security flaw with my secure folder when updating to one ui 8, so because I don't want to use a screen lock, which I never have done, someone can now get into my secure folder just by setting a secure lock themselves, it doesn't ask you to put your previous pin in that you used on secure folder from one ui 7,it just asks you to set one up, so all my information I've got in there from since I started using it can be accessed just by setting a screen lock, where as I've always had a lock on my secure folder, it's not asking me to enter it anymore. So if someone gets my phone, all they need to do now is open the secure folder and then set up a screen lock from there, and then they are in! they don't need to put my pin in that I had from one ui7 they just need to set one up and they are in my secure folder, which is madness, this is a massive security flaw to anyone to doesn't use screen locks but obviously had one one their secure folder. You should need to put your pin in from one ui 7 to gain access to it and not just set one up again, again you shouldn't be forcing people to use a screen lock, you only need one on your secure folder.
