Samsung really are pulling the wool over people's eyes. After saying they were reading usage reports, only 1% use the Bluetooth function on the spen. Apparently that equates to 160000 people which is a lot. Am I being thick or do they get these usage reports when we opt into it when setting up the phone? How many people turn off usage reports when setting up their phone? I know I do. I smell a rat with Samsung. Air gestures are so much fun. The most composed Selfies I find is by using the spen. This was the ultras signature ™️ that should never have been up for debate. It's a great bit of tech. The S25 ultra has lost it's id. It's looking like the IPhone now. IPhone/moto g stylus vibes. No thanks. Get back to the drawing board and start giving us S10 model vibes again when you were flexing muscles globally. But losing handy hardware and copying apple seems the way forward. 🤮

Lol. I've seen many cancelling pre orders after finding out the Bluetooth function has gone. And many aren't happy with the iPhone design. I've been on the site. All phones are available. The only thing I like about it is the reduction in weight.

TBH I have used the SPEN shutter button a couple of times and although handy I had trouble hiding it when taking the photo. Mu h rather prefer a timer or show the palm.
Never used the Air gestures so won't really miss anything.

Seems like people have lost sight of the fact Samsung is a business, they aren't going to do something if it isn't viable for them financially or strategically, a petition for them to put it back, give over, how entitled and childish, if you don't want the phone, don't buy it. I have had notes and i have had Ultra's, in my case, the spen was always only ever used for writing, selecting etc. I didn't even realise it was bluetooth enabled to take photographs before the s24 ultra, I thought they made a huge deal about it when they released that phone, but I didn't use it anyway. I don't get what people want from Samsung tbh, they have put in what is considered to be a pretty decent, expensive chipset, kept the prices the same as last year, yes they changed the design, it doesn't look like an iphone, it looks like a Galaxy, but i actuallygot rid of my s24 ultra becauseit was too big and uncomfortable, yes the deals aren't as good as last year but all everyone is doing is moaning, they don't exist to try and please the needs of every single individual who owns last year's Samsung! They give the discounts and trade in to retain old customers and encourage new, it works, if you don't like the new phone, simply don't buy it, they won't miss you as much as you think they will

I could go through a long list of features removed over time, this isn't that big in terms of features tbh. The vivid slider for instance was there years ago, they reintroduced back after the S24 screen colour debacle. There's plenty of others I can point out, but most of which are completely forgotten about since they never were essential features used everyday. In the end you can't have everything on a smartphone without compromise. People seem to ignore the fact that with each feature comes cost and with that pricing. If the S25 Ultra sold at a significant price increase, sure I'd agree they seem to be downgrading with no benefit, but that simply isn't the case. In fact the UK got a £50 price decrease for certain models, that's far more interesting than losing Bluetooth functionality on the S-Pen.

Totally agree with you!

am so looking forward to get my hands on the s25 ultra 1tb in titanium black. I have seen several YouTube reviews on it and nearly all is concluding with the same thing after using it for a while, it's an amazing phone and the lack of spen bluetooth support isn't an issue for 99% of users. Even the ones that was "haters" at first have switched sides after using it.

Hello 👋 @facu1ty

I totally understand and appreciate yours and others viewpoint on the sPen, and the subsequent removal of the Bluetooth option.

I'm sure there are many that are not personally affected by this removal of the feature , and on balance many will be.

Personally I wouldn't have even considered that Samsung would remove the feature when thinking about what the Bluetooth takes up in regards to hardware and software.

Ok surveys etc may have shown that not a massive amount of owners used the Bluetooth option, but as it was a function some did use ,and wanted then in my view it should have been left in place.

Samsung must have known taking this away would have raised eyebrows ,and even made some reconsider when deciding to purchase.

Will this stop the millions of phone's being sold 🤔  Probably not.

Will this make Samsung reconsider reintroducing this in next years generation of the Ultra 🤔  Hopefully

Until then the beauty of choice is to buy or not.

Personally I'm sticking with my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra because in my personal wants and needs this phone meets all my tick boxes.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I've seen many cancelling? Really and that's suppose to be your crystal ball to the future? I bet the increased trade in value this year lured more than the people you've seen cancelling tbh, but I'm not basing my assumption on guess work like you seem to do.

Well, that settles that. I'm cancelling my pre-order. I'll keep my 1TB S24 Ultra for now, and probably switch to the iPhone 17 Pro Max (and (Apple Watch Ultra whatever) when they come out. I use the Bluetooth functions of my S-pen every day. I won't have a Galaxy S phone without it. And, they can forget about me ever upgrading my 1TB Tab S10 Ultra as well.

I'll be sure to do that on the iPhone Pro Max I'm going to but after cancelling my pre-order on a few seconds.

How is saving £50 far more important than losing a very handy Bluetooth function? I'm sure many would prefer to have the function they had before. Besides, you'd recoup that £50 along the way. Many feel cheated.
