NFC Interference?

Afternoon all,

New S25 Ultra owner here with a question. I'm having a little difficulty using Google Pay in shops. It takes a couple of attempts for it to be recognised when holding it against the POS machines, and I wondered if it has anything to do with my MagSafe case and magnetic pop socket?

I know the NFC chip is roughly in the middle of this phone, which is where the magnets are, but I wasn't sure if NFC would interfere with magnets.

EDIT... the accepted solution worked for me, I was clearly holding the phone wrong near the card reader 🤦‍♂️

In addition to the message below. I dont think its related to the magsafe case because i put a basic clear case on mine without magsafe because i dont have a magsafe charger yet so i didnt see the point putting my other case magsafe one on yet so no its not this im sure its software issue and defo hope its not hardware. I noticed your on S25 Ultra im only on the S25+ and same issue so its affecting the whole S25 series it seems

Samsung S25 Ultra here. Same problem. I hope it's just a software bug and they will patch it soon.

Just set my 25u up today. Thought it was my phone being smarter than me . Hope everyone gets sorted soon. It's not really that important to me. I'm just happy that at 66 next week I could set it all up lol

This solution isn't helping me.  The NFC is woeful compared to the S21 Ultra i upgraded from.  I'm stuck half the time for at least 5 minutes trying to get it to work and it just doesn't.  Really need a fix or help on this since I use it for everything from getting inside my house to the gym to public transport and paying for things

Apologies for the way I explain, hope it makes sense. My son had the idea of adding my card to my Samsung wallet and using Samsung pay. That wasn't recognised by my bank so he tried again using Samsung pay+ and it seems to have made a difference.

Now I push the side button but instead of using my fingerprint, I swipe up and my payment screen appears. I scan my fingerprint and I get a message something like "ready to make a payment" it then ticks over for 45 seconds to give me time to scan the phone. It logs off after 45 seconds.

Hope that makes sense I will let you know if it's worked tomorrow when I hit the trafford centre shops x

I'll check it out, but the issue stems that it just doesn't scan well, I can stand outside the gym trying to scan in using NFC for 5 minutes and it just wont register.

But thank you for the information on samsung pay plus!

Just tried Samsung Pay, and still can't get it to work.

Samsung pay plus and sign up for a curve account . Virtual card linked to your debit card physical card comes with fee but irrelevant for these purposes. Have used twice today at Trafford centre.... instantly worked x
Transactions appear as CRV prefix with no fee.

Granny can teach you youngsters how to suck eggs lol.

How would Pay+ help me? My card has been added to Samsung Wallet, but when I go to pay nothing happens.
