Long Press on Home Button Opens Google Assistant not Gemini

I changed my Google 'AI' from Google Assistant to Gemini. However, a long press on the Home button opens the old Google Assistant and not Gemini as expected. How to fix? Gemini works fine when opened via the Gemini app.

This might be your solution..
Open the Gemini App
Select your profile icon, top right
This will show a list off options
One of them says
Switch to. .
Choose here what you want to use.

That says switch to Google Assistant so Gemini is already set.

That's because that feature is circle to search, not to invoke AI assistant. It's not a base feature in most devices, as neither is circle to search.

You seem to have your inputs mixed up. The OP asked about holding the home button. Nowhere in that text shows it as an android 15 feature. In fact if you disable circle to search, you get nothing, no response for holding the home. This is true for all devices I've used on Android (15 or 14). As I already stated, that's because that is Samsungs circle to search.

I didn't mix anything up, I was responding to you who said that calling Gemini is not a base feature, when it is one of the features of Android 15. Or it will be in Android 16 for everyone.

And Samsung remove option from navigation bar to invoke Gemini (or Google Assistant before) in S25 series.  I still have it on my S24 ultra and OneUI 6.1. That's option is Android option.

Nope I never said that, you're misreading/misunderstanding my comment then.

Regardless, you don't invoke Gemini by doing that and I never said anything but that. If you've misunderstood my comment, then re-read what the OP has written, then apply my response in that context.
