How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

I'm sorry, telling phone owners that they need to adapt when a change is made is ridiculous. Samsung has been so customizable in the past, I, like so many others here, find it incredibly annoying. If I want to adapt, that should be my choice. That's a function of preference, not an implementation of a necessary feature change.

The problem is the position of the search bar and not the consumers problem.  My time should not be spent on work-arounds for Samsung winning the award for worst update and worst phone.  I've lost two days and nothing worked as it should,  including the search bar issue.

It's not me, it's the phone and whoever wrote the code for this garbage.

You just insulted Samsung customers instead of taking responsibility.

I will never buy another Samsung product. Thank you for showing me Samsung doesn't respect the people that buy, or in my case, used to buy Samsung products.

This phone that's been rendered unusable with no way to make it usable will be my last Samsung product of any kind. I have a memory but I learn lots of new things, daily.

I learned today that Samsung is not a reputable company.

This update has me so mad. It not only takes away all the free range of customizing my Samsung phone, but it also changes my settings! I didn't know I signed up for the wish version of Apple products today with one no say in the update. Nothing works better, and if anything, I have spent 5+ hours trying to fix this big f*uck up of a so-called update. I've been with Samsung my whole life, and even got a new phone when Samsung BROKE mine with a eSIM transfer, corrupting my phone. I agree when I read "I will never buy another Samsung product." This is outrageous.

I have always owned Samsung's and spent a few years selling them. This is one of the worst updates and all I want is the search bar at the top. Having to constantly "adapt" to what you "think" we want is getting old. Will have to consider a new manufacturer in the future.

How would this possibly solve my problem? And I shouldn't have to download goodlock to change basic things about my phone.

Hours and hours spent trying to undo the damage this update created. I called my phone carrier, clear cache and it didn't undo the damage, my phone is a disaster. NEVER buying another Samsung product. Bubbles and themes and notifications hidden in notifications. I thought I had it then shut down and it wouldn't reboot until I booted up from the screen with one of the choices to erase the phone and start from scratch.

I need to eat, go to the bathroom and live my life. So, I'll get back to it later.

I won't forget.   I'll win a partial battle at some point but this will be the last product I never buy from Samsung.

When I finally was able to start my phone it was worse.

Samsung you'll lose your best customers. You are losing customers that are techie, like me.

Don't buy a Samsung phone or any other Samsung product.

This is a low bar company.

This is awful. I should be able to customize it back to where it originally was before this update.
