How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

Hello 👋 @Bill656 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Ireland members. 

We do have muscle memory I agree but we also adapt. 

They're might be customisation via the phone's native settings, and or Goodlock and it's plug ins may offer that type of customisation.

Hi, I've searched through all relevant settings sections and GoodLock. I've had 10 Samsung phones starting with the Galaxy S2, so I am pretty familiar with the OS and customisations. However, recent OneUI versions are consistently dictating design elements over customisability while Apple is adding flexibility... Maybe my next phone will be an iPhone.

Samsung has made it easier to access a lot of settings with OneUi7 to give it a more one handed use which many will like

Understandable as with most changes there will be a bit of learning curve for most people like yourself.

Hopefully you will get used to it and love the ease of use over time.😊

Boooooooooo Samsung, so far this is my least fav S25U change - Please provide an option to move the app search bar back to the top, I use it dozens of times a day (didn't really realize how often until it moved).  What Bill656 says, out of the way of our fingers please!

I've got the exact same problem. I can't stand it. One handed use my backside. Now I've got to reach over this search bar to click on anything. It's terrible

I just spent an hr going through all the menus trying to do same thing!!!

What the literal hell Samsung?!?!  Why is this no longer customizeable...go fix this now!!!
