How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

This terrible UI update was just forced onto my S24+. I did find though that you can download the Microsoft Launcher (I know MS sucks, but right now they're better than Samsung) and that launcher does indeed allow you to customize the app drawer to have horizontal, alphabetized scrolling as well as the search bar on top. 

Hope this might help some people get their phone experience back to what they want. This update is atrocious and Samsung has lost me as a customer, and I don't just mean for phones. When my fridge, washer, and dryer are ready to be replaced it won't be with more Samsung products.

Don't go to the play store and d/l the Microsoft Launcher app and give it permissions unless you want to want to add to your problems. I don't care who made this launcher app, it's going to complicate the location of the search app bar at the top of the app drawer problem. We need one problem fixed and not to add more problems and time to this Samsung BS. That search bar app shouldn't be on the phone.  That search bar should be up to consumers to download if they want it, although there's no point to it. If somebody downloads it, and I wouldn't ever download it, it should be able to be located where the consumer wants, top or bottom.

This is of no help. Also half the point of people buying samsung and android phones in general is the customizability and overall control. This change to the bottom doesn't improve anything and to me personally is an eyesore. Point blank I want to do what I want with my phone. If I didn't want that choice I'd just go with apple.

This just takes away power from me and you. I should be able to move the search bar back to the top or hell even the side. You should be able to do what YOU want with YOUR phone. That's a big reason people pick samsung over

You never know they might include it as a part of the goodlock modules to move where ever you want. 😊

This update was just forced on my phone and I hate the search bar at the bottom. There is 0 reason to not offer your customers the option of having it the way they've had it since my samsung note 10 plus. Forcing updates like this that totally change the UI and slowly erode the users ability to customize is par for the course for these huge tech corporations. Windows has done the same thing. I have to click and do more now than before, and some options are totally taken away for good. Customizing is the whole reason to buy a samsung. I don't appreciate the people in charge forcing these huge UI changes for the customers without prior consent with no option to use it or not. I don't appreciate the patronizing attitude of Samsung or the goons on this forum who defend these decisions as "good for us, you just have to adapt!" The first Samsung affiliated reply is the most patronizing demeaning kind of attitude possible. Most of the replies to these types of posts are that way. How many times have I seen an issue like this brought up on this site through a Google search, and the mod or whatever the goons call themselves say something like "this isn't an actual issue, this is programmed to be that way, you're just too stupid to figure it out". If the customer doesn't like it, they're not wrong, you are. Period. You serve us. And we pay a fortune for the privilege. I'm seriously considering just letting this device be my last samsung and moving on to something third party.

I find your reply of "we have muscle memory but we adapt" patronizing and useless. The users wants the bar on the top, this is not a solution.
