How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

This is the dumbest thing ever. If I'm using my Tab S8 on my lap, the search bar at the bottom is one of the most inconvenient places to put it. Make it customisable.

Whoever designed this needs to be fired for not coming up with the idea but for having the audacity to lock it without a customization option. I am extremely frustrated as a user of Samsung since S6. Understand the logic but its not for everyone. If the intent was to just frustrate people, you have been immensely successful. I will be rolling back the update through third party apps.

Give us option to move the search field back to the top, please ! I want simply swipe up and press the field to start typing "in one step". Recent change added extra step "move finger down" which is nothing else than just annoying obstacle. It seems someone is making changes to justify his position and generate a job instead of keeping UI clear, easy and consistent.

Non the less : all the app button are the top of the scrren (as they should be)

You change : good for you / I need it back where I don t risk destroying my phone everytime I have to use it

Make the search bar customizable for top or bottom use. The bottom search bar is the worst part of the update by far.

Distinctly unhelpfull. Your advice is roughly translated "tough luck, get used to it." If the search bar which many do not use is blocking access to the apps which are used it will not "give it a more one-handed use"
