Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

It is really not understandable.
Downgrading the user experience is simply the dumbest thing to do
Not saying that IT IS painfull

No we dont want to learn it. We have android for a reason we want it the eay WE want it. Not how samsung want it. Just make us chose. I am a fold user and use my phone 99% of the time with 2 hands. Its much much easier to reach to the top then it is the bottom especially with big hands. Size 12. Just add back the search bar on top. We use it rarly so it needs to be tucked away. We dont want it so obvious

How very disappointing. Accidently clicked to update my phone to this latest update. I thought well it will most likely be useful, and boy was I wrong! As others have said THE SEARCH BAR! What is that all about. I have just spent over an hour trying to move it back up, and thanks to this forum I have now, begrudgingly, accepted defeat. I can't say I have ever used the search bar (I know where what I need is!). And it being at the top was perfect placement. Now it makes my app screen feel ugly & my vision is distracted each time by the search bar. Customers should not be told to adapt, it should be a customisable feature, as I am sure there are people that might like it at the bottom. Although as to reasons why, I am clueless about. It moves when you go to use it as the keyboard pushes it up. An issue that is not present when it is at the top, already out of the way.
Please Samsung, issue another update rectifying this mistake to keep your customers' happy.
Failing that maybe Dave Gorman will find our thread and we can be a part of a found poem. *eye roll*

I hate that they're trying to be more like Apple. If I wanted an IPhone I would get one, this latest update is not it for me. Now what I'd really love is to figure out how to get rid of it and go back.

The problem is, before this update all of this would have been optional. It would have been a setting and you could decide if it worked for you. The big selling point most of us liked was the customizability, now we don't have the option, we have to use it, which is an IPhone thing. If we wanted the Apple rigidity we would purchase their products. Samsung and Google are trying to be like that to gain their customers instead of sticking to what the current ones already like.

This is not a solution and the problem is NOT solved. The fact that this was magically picked as an absolute answer is insulting and condescending and makes zero sense.
We cannot seem to be able to fix this issue, downloading yet another piece of software that MIGHT fix it is ridiculous when it was never a problem before.
This answer has the same exact vibes as people who reply to a*azon questions with "I don't know :)" instead of being even slightly helpful or, even better, staying silent and saying nothing at all. Don't waste everyone's time for your make-believe kudo points or whatever.
I hope Samsung fixes this mess with the next update, every change feels wildly arbitrary and pointless.
