How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

I recently bought the S25+ and switching from Note 8, I know I know it's a big change, but finding the customisation is been reduced make my feel I may made the wrong decision to buy again a Samsung or generally speaking an Android phone.
Looking this post, is look like this is not a limited problem but is a spread one which Samsung should take in consideration moving forward.

I just switched to the s25 ultra two days ago and I have to say...this setting and the inability to customize it has me incredibly frustrated!!  😫

I have small hands and my fingers CANNOT reach the bottom app bar. I need the search bar to appear at the top like in any other Samsungs I owned. Please amend this option or I will be forced to return S25U like many other users it seems. Extremely. Extremely disappointing Samsung.

Not only search bar is at the bottom i really hate the scrolling from top to bottom thing to find the app. I was more happy with the old fashion page flipping and lack of option to adjust it...come on.

@CzubeczekPL: It is possible to revert to the previous horizontal scrolling option in the Apps menu. To do so, swipe up from your Home screen to access the Apps menu > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Sort > Custom order. Please not that this does not sort the apps alphabetically, therefore the app positions will need to be manually assigned by pressing and holding on the icons and dragging them to your preferred location.

I agree with regarding the recent UI changes, the vertical scroll included. Both are very frustrating. I was happy with horizontal page flips. The search bar being at the top was also very convenient. Samsung stating that we need to learn this new things instead of adding customisation is really making me reconsider choosing Samsung over other options. Horizontal flip was one the things I consider when buying Samsung. It was like a Samsung things since I gave started using it. Remove it is a downgrade I would say. Least could have made it customizable. But what did they decide, to ask user to learn and get used to the learning curve. I bet the guy who decided this change is using non-Samsung device. What's the difference between the stock Android UI and OneUI if you start removing such differentiating factor.

I agree, this is entirely unacceptable from Samsung. You've copied Apple so much, you've started to copy the bad stuff. Get it together.

Why it sucks:

1) My browser, my home screen, WhatsApp,... all have search on top, so I'm used to it

2) im swiping up to open the app drawer, so my finger is already on the the way there.

3) it ***** moves up to make space for the keyboard...

Mistakes getting made is okay, but this update was delayed a lot so expectations are high. Fix it now please!
