Anyone else noticed their battery draining super fast after the update. It's 2:pm UK time and usually I'm on 80%. At work indont use my phone and it's gone down to 50% already?
Any solutions ???

Good finding/figuring out that solution. Hopefully further update(s) will obviate the need for it

This really is an extreme setting for those who do not fully understand the cause for a background drain. Whilst it's a novel idea for helping some to resolve a potentially tricky problem to solve, I'd not recommend this option. In most cases, having a heavy background drain is solvable without such extreme measures and this option is likely to break some operations to a users daily phones routines if kept.

So the thing that is draining my phone and causing it to heat up is called system server it's a main part of android but for some reason since may it's mess the device up but least with this quick fix will help me out until then I must say even my on screen time and Improved massive 1748093681924.jpg

I totally agree with you there it was just for people who know what they are doing i just put it out there for people who do know , also it's not made any difference in the way the phone is running as I still get all my notifications and my emails and everything else it must just stop core apps from running in the background plus it's only a fox until Samsung or Google fix it , but I must say I can see myself getting around 12 of on screen time as I've been using my phone a lot and the battery has barely went down much at all

Well as long as it's working well for you and there's noticeable improvement without any noticeable drawbacks to your phones operation, this is great news. Bare in mind however, should you face any unexpected problems with apps or something else, do keep this setting in mind.

Yo, big shoutout for sharing this! Turning off background processes like that sounds wild but if it’s cooling your phone and saving battery, that’s a W for sure.

Not everyone might wanna lose background apps, but for anyone dealing with heat and drain, this is a dope workaround.

Props for finding that and sharing with the squad!

Would I be correct in assuming that change (in Background process limit) would return to its default setting if I disabled Developer options (in Settings)?

Yes that's right I already didn't it to see what would happen as in if my phone would go back to heating up and bad battery life and it did right away , so what I have done to get even better battery is go to device care and battery then background apps limit and it all apps on deep sleep but untick the ones you use every day then save it then go to developer options and click on no background processes and now my battery is way better and everything still works the same even when my phone is on sleep mode

Also note this is only a quick fix for now until Samsung or Google fixes what ever is causing this issue , the app that is draining all my battery is called system server which is a big part of Android and this is the only fix I have found that helps me
