Does anyone know why my phone does this?

I recently purchased an S25 and have been enjoying it, except for one issue. When the phone's battery is depleted and I attempt to charge it using a wired connection, a voltage symbol appears, followed by vibrations and an alert to remove the charger after about 30 seconds. However, wireless charging works without issue, and subsequent wired charging attempts function normally. I rarely use my phone near water, so I'm quite puzzled and would appreciate any assistance. Also yes i did rewrite this using Galaxy AI lol ヽ(●´ε`●)ノ

That's the hard part... I'd usually say check the port, make sure it's clean, maybe try a few other cables. You can also clear the cache partition. Not super hard but google how to do that. Since your device is new, you should be able to take it to a samsung store and they'll fix or replace it. Though I know that isn't convenient

That shouldn't happen with a new device. Who did you purchase the phone from? I would contact Samsung support via Members app and let them deal with it.

I know I shouldn't clean it with metal, so would a toothpick be fine?

I bought it from the Argos UK website and picked it up on the next day.

I wouldn't. A clean toothbrush gently maybe but if you do damage yourself, samsung won't fix it. Best thing is just take it to a samsung store and don't try anything physical yourself. I'd feel terrible if you caused a problem and they refused to fix things

if don't let the battery discharge fully, as you shouldn't anyway, does the same error show when you charge it
