I was absolutely enjoying the phone until recently.

The screen now has visible scratches showing. Like what! Never had to put protectors on any previous Galaxy phone and they have always been great and not been susceptible to scratching.

Did Samsung cheap out and use a worse standard for their screens?

Decided to uses Samsung's own screen protectors to help minimise any more scratches but as always, micro dust gets on just at the point where you try to stick it down creating bubbles that won't go away. 😱

Come on Samsung, if you are producing top end products that have reduced scratch resistance, at least put protectors on in factory where you will have clean rooms. You did it for previous versions of your phones.

Really disappointed this time round. Definitely won't be jumping on the next release of your Ultra until reports show massively improved scratches resistance or preinstalled screen protection.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community.

In some testing videos, it does appear less scratch-resistant compared to the S24 Ultra, but it is much more resistant to cracks.

This has been discussed quite a bit with the S25 Ultra series. I always recommend using a screen protector to prevent scratching. If you have no luck with the Samsung screen protectors, maybe attempt a Zagg or Spigen screen protector—they come with a template that ensures no bubbles.

Samsung doesn't see these forums for feedback directly—go to Samsung Members > Support > Feedback.

I too place screen protector asap. So far prefer Samsung ones

That said, far more people use it without and claim their screen free of scratches

No scratches on mine so I guess it's really down to a users handling.

I honestly don't understand the fuss about scratches and bubbly screen protectors,

It is known that post Gorilla Glass 5 scratches easily, Victus 1 & 2, Armor, whatever, the glass became softer for better shatter resistance at the expensive of less scratch resistance (just physics), even if you look at an iPhone 15 for example, in a store display,.the screen is a mess of scratches from people just trying it out in store, so just install a screen protector if you care about that.

Then, all the people who can't properly install a plastic film without bubble,. it's really easy and is also known, just install the thing in a steamy bathroom with the hot shower running for a few minutes prior, steam removes arial dust, use a dust sticker under a flash light to make sure not the slightest speck of dust on the display, put the film on, spread evenly with the squeegee, perfect installation every single time,

If that is too complicated for you, use tempered glass with an easy installation kit with pull tab dust removal.

I really don't understand what the fuss is about, it's not rocket science, is it? 😄

I've only had one major scratch in the last seven year or so, and that came from the seat belt fastener in my car.

My wife thought she had a major problem with her phone, but it turned out, she wasn't aware she had a screen protecter and once that screen protector was removed, she had a perfect screen.
