I have an S25 Ultra runing latest software as of 25/04/25. I've noticed but cannot pinpoint exact time the issue started. I have no coverage issues with my network (EE) and never had issues with my broadband provider for 3 years (4th Utility).
The Issue:
So I'm abe to make and receive calls when WiFi calling is disabled as expected. When WiFi calling option is on and im currently connected to the network (EE) I still continue to connect and receive calls normally. But the moment I'm connected to a WiFi be it at home or at the hospital, making a call gets hung up immediately. If someone tried to call me call would not go through.
I've contacted EE they have confirmed they have a record of my calls failing to connect with WiFi calling. They verified all my account (Esim) settings are correct and WiFi calling should be expected to work normally. I've found starting a call on the network then switching on the WiFi during the call the phone would switch over to WiFi calling perfectly fine, so it seems to me its the initial connection that's causing the issue?
WiFi calling is a feature I use a lot since I do spent a lot of time in and out of hospital where network connections are usually bad. I'm wondering if anyone using this feature has had any issues or if anyone not using the the feature on the same network as me could test to see if they have issues.
For now I've just disabled the WiFi calling setting since its an easy workaround the issue for now. I do plan to walk into an EE store and switch back to a physical SIM incase that may change something.
Looking forward to see what you think 🤔. Might be something I've missed or not tried yet. I thought I'd mention incase its important I have also recently purchased a SIM plan for my Samsung Watch Ultra.
I appreciate any advice thank you for reading.
