I set mine to adaptive charging where it learns my routines and sets the charging level as needed.

I used to charge my phones to 80 or 85 percent and left them on the charger.
I almost always charge my phones wirelessly and use a Super Fast Charger at the wall while the phone is placed on a surface that reads Fast Charge. I now charge to 100 percent and don't give it any thought.
It will take a few hours to charge and I'm in bed asleep.
I should also add that my wife has a S21+ that she's had for three or four years, charging every night using a basic charger and charging to 100 percent. Her battery doesn't need to be topped up during the day and she charges the phone while she's sleeping.
You might have the phone on a Super Fast Charger, but the phone will adjust to what the charging software tells it to do.
Since I charge my phone over night, I don't give what's going on a second thought. I'm not to spend even more money to buy an even more powerful charger just to have the phone charge faster while I'm sleeping. The term, gilded lilies, comes to mind.
