Galaxy s 25 ultra theme not reflecting in messenger

Have the new galaxy s 25 ultra and themes are not reflecting in messenger. Samsung messenger is no longer on the s 25 series. Its only google messenger. so I don't know if this is why. Anyone else having this issue?

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum. 

Samsung Message App is no longer pre downloaded onto the new Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ series of phones. 

However you can still download the Samsung Message app from the Galaxy Store still ,and make that the default App.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Samsung are slowly phasing Samsung Messages out so it isn't on your new device by default but can currently be downloaded.

I suspect (my opinion here) that other apps where there is duplication may also follow the same route.

You can download it from the Galaxy Store if it was not pre installed on your new device. It's available once again to download if you don't want to use Google messages app.

Mine doesn't either. I'm guessing that they purposely won't  allow a theme in the downloaded version.
