App Specific Notifications

I recently upgraded from the S22 Ultra to the S25 Ultra, and apparently my apps no longer use app specific notifications. The most noticeable one is the app Fishbrain. All notifications for that app would sound like a fishing line being pulled by a fish. This app no longer does that. Facebook messenger no longer has its own sound that. Is there a way for apps to have their notifications used? I've tried reinstalling the app after resetting all settings, but issue still persists.

It's sorta been hidden. The new way it works is the app developer has to sorta enable it and set it up inside their app. But there is a solution.

Settings, notifications, advanced settings, enable manage notification categories.

Now if you delve into the notification settings for an app, you might get the setting back.

Thank you! I had to turn on that setting, uninstall the app, re-install the app. That seems to have forced the app to use the app notification sound. So annoying that they did this.
