Why only Android 7 S24 ultra

Hi all

My first time here so apologies if my question is nieve.

I am looking to purchase S24 ultra and obviously looking around for the best price, however the best price I can find in the UK comes preloaded with Android 7.

I understand the latest version is Android 14 so my question is there something less desirable with the android 7 phone.

I gather it should be easy enough to upgrade to android 14, is this correct.

S24 ultra ,should only come with Android 14 software

You won't get one with Android 7 version in the UK the S24 came with the Android 14 installed so I don't where you picked up that information of them having a lower version.

I'd be very careful with where you shop.
An S24 Ultra won't come with Android 7. So that won't be a genuine Samsung phone.
First of all you need to find a reputable retailer.
You also need to make sure its a UK phone. As ones imported generally won't get certain services or software updates.
This also applies to refurbished phones if you are looking at those.
There are deals to be had from phone network providers.
Worth a look rather than risking purchasing from somewhere online like an auction site etc

Aside from the excellent advice given. Are you 100% certain the advert said Android 7 and wasn't actually referring to future updates to One UI 7. If you want us to take a look at the ad, then post the link.

Sounds more like one of the Chinese copies.

Its on Amazon and certainly does not say refurbished or anything but definitely say Android 7 which arose my suspicions. Here is the link and thanks to all for the replies
