Hi,

This same thing kept happening to me and to my surprise let me tell you. I'm writing this soon after mine has worked now. What I did was, I kept clicking on the "next" icon in the first page multiple times due to the frustration and then a pop-up showed "Is this the correct number?" and I clicked "Yes" after which I was able to move on to the next page. Believe me, this just happened to me and I'm finally relieved that I can use two whats apps on the same phone. Make sure to backup everything before you do.

Also weird enough, my google account linked to my WhatsApp which was already signed in on my phone, was not getting recognised by the dual whatsapp. So, I had to login to my google account again.

Hi there 👋 Uninstall Whatsapp/dual whatsapp on new Device completely remove all data) Re-Install Whatsapp (Do not activate primary) Enable Dual Whatsapp. Activate Secondary whatsapp first, if nothings helps try 1. Make backup of cloned whatsapp.
Backup all your messages, photos, videos, documents on your device
and your Google drive.
Make sure you remember the credentials of your google account that you are using as a copy of
security.
2. Then open Play Store and download whatsappbusiness. Install, add your number
WhatsApp Dual phone number. You will receive a message asking if you want to restore your
content from a backup.
Select the directory where your backup is saved and all its content is
will restore to your account after some time depending on the size of the copy of
security taken.
3. Finally, go to settings and disable the messaging option
dual. Also, to view images, videos, etc. In the MyFiles app, go to
My files-> Internal memory-> Android-> media-> com.whatsapp
And for the WhatsApp business, the file is com.whatsapp.w4b.

Same issue on my end, tried everything, re-installing, etc... with no success.

Hitting "Next" multiple times indeed solved the issue. Thank you!!
