So I've had my S24U for some time now and it's great, but the stupid swipe right or left to go back universal gesture is getting real old. Now all we have is either big buttons or this silly swiping thing, it works well 50% of the time but it's not intelligent enough to decide if I'm trying to go back or just select something.

Please Samsung bring back the 3 tab navigation bar (from the S22U) at the bottom of the screen again, it was so easy having 3 slim bars for home, back and open apps.

@LittleCasper

Have a look in Settings > Display > Navigation Bar.

There are also some recent threads concerning the Navigation Bar which can be found via a forum search.

The Goodlock App and it's plug in Navstar has options too.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

You have to install Goodlock and use the NavStar settings to change the navigation settings

I agree, why change it from the s22u. To switch between recent apps is a hit n miss if it works. And in a lot of apps, you need to swipe in from the left or right to go into the menu, but due to the way samsung have done it, the phone thinks you want to go back. I get good lock can resolve this, but should never have been changed.

The way to do it is simple and straight forward and as follows:
1. Go to to phone settings and go on Display settings and scroll down and select Navigation bar afterwards select swipe gestures
2. Open GoodLock app and select NavStar and then swipe gestures and click on the: Enable extra gesture settings
3. Repeat step 1 and open the more options tab there you will find the swipe gestures

That worked, I had good luck etc, but never realised this activated 'more options' going back into the swipe gesture menu. thank you!1706954253159.jpg

I'm glad it helped, I don't know why they chose to make it this complicated but I'm glad the feature is back even though it now takes several steps

Honestly, I hated the new swipe gestures, hated using them, but this solves everything!! Thank you! As you said, this should have been included as standard in the options! I do like the swipe gestures on the side, but does not help when you access some apps menus by swiping in from the left or right, and on that one, the recent apps swipe gesture was a nightmare! Lol. They should have made it, the swipe in from the left or right, only works on the bottom third of the screen, then slightly higher up, could access menus on apps you need to swipe in to, if that makes sense! Really appreciate your help, amazing!

For some silly reason, not all the people who payd 1400 euros for s24 ultra, have acces to GoodLock, so we are stucked with swipe from sides, which is a pain, besides peeling the Samsung screen protector, the phone will never know if we want to go back or swipe in pictures.

As a said in other post, almost nobody cares about Circle, or other AI s#|ț.

Bring back swipe from bottom!
