Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Really sorry to hear of your issues.

Did you have your S21 backed up? (for example to Google or Samsung Cloud or One Drive?)

If you don't have any backups (like Google photos) and the phone is fully dead. Your only option is taking it to a specialised phone recovery shop. It'd cost a ton to do that though so for some holiday pics, it's probably not worth it

Hello @steve1998  👋

I appreciate how precious our photo's are so can appreciate your wanting to try and get all the photo's you have stored in your Gallery  👍

In hindsight this is why it is imperative to have them backed up in some form.

For example I use Dropbox.

Others use Onedrive or one of the other online vaults that are available.

Please do set one up when you do start taking photo's again 🙏

As it is against the Samsung Community Forum Guidelines to suggest / guide how to self repair the phone as it is a sealed unit unfortunately I'm unable to guide you this way.

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/news-rules-faqs/community-policy-on-dangerous-diy-unorthodox-rep...

A Samsung Service Centre would charge to repair the phone ,and almost certainly flash the phone which means the photo's would be lost.

Therefore maybe the way forward is to approach a Highstreet Store that deals with repairs to ask them if they can help in regards to getting the phone to boot up ,so you can recover your precious photo's.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I know this is a bit late of a message but if u try putting your other phone into rice it may soak the water up and u might be able to turn your phone on to get your photos and stuff of it I know it could be a long shot but u never know. I hope you get everything u need of that other phone of yours. If that dont help u can also go to the phone shop they should be able to transfer your data over to your new phone. My phone went dark green but the screen was blanked out if u know what I mean and I was distraught as I had so many memories as I had that phone for years and they manged to transfer basically everything including my email and stuff like that.

If the phone power's on, but the display doesn't function, then all hope isn't lost! We have a handy guide on how to access a device with a broken screen below. We wish you the best of luck in retrieving your photos!
