Spoke with samsung last week and they confirmed that they are aware of the washed out screens on all S24 models and will be sending an update to fix it. After reading some comments, I called them back today and now they are saying that they deliberately made them like that to look more natural and there will be no update for this. This is clearly not right as the vivid/natural mode does not work and should not be there if this function doesn't exist anymore. Someone else I spoke to after at samsung said they should fix that mode if it's something that clearly doesn't work and is already built in the display settings. I've been having some glitches again especially with calls on loudspeaker or Bluetooth. And it just heats up a lot when under stress. Something I'm sure wouldn't happen with the snapdragon variant. I have two more days left until I can return it. I also read elsewhere that the charging cable you get with the plus and ultra isn't for 45watt speed charging, only 25watts. Reminds me of only getting a 15watt charger in the box with my S7+ tablet which is advertised as 45watts. ***** take this. How much more money do they want without providing us with the same global quality? I feel really betrayed by them. Especially with this exynos rubbish as my experience hasn't been great. Much better experience and consistency last year on the S23 regular I had. I don't find any of the S24 models an upgrade over the S23 models apart from the S24 plus screen. Seen numerous videos how the pictures look better on last years S23 models. I'll be handing this S24 + back tomorrow. Not confident about it at all moving forward. I really like the design but also need peace of mind not headaches. May wait for the oppo which apparently will be shipping globally and looks the business. No short cuts like samsung. Everything and more in the box. Miss those simpler days...

I just turned on my s24 ultra and compared it to my s21.  I called Samsung - they sounded like this was new information- it isn't.  I submitted photos and videos of how dull the new display looks.  Ultimately the colours look lifeless and depressing - I don't need the other updates on the camera when the screen itself is lacking.   For that reason I'm returning the s24.   To me the decisions they have made has altered my user experience in a negative way.    Changes in video editing, display, etc... For now, I'm out.   I really hope they opt to fix these changes because the next step for me is leaving Samsung 😐

This sucks, just finished my backup from my old s23 ultra and the screen colors on vivid mode on the 24 ultra are so different. That vivid mode was something I liked since the s21, this looks like a downgrade... so pissed.

Give it back mate. I'm staying well away from the S24 models!

As an avid loyalist to Samsung for over 20 years, they're encouraging me to seek out another preference. What a shame. This USED to be my favorite product.

I haven't paid full price for any Samsung phones since the S105g from 2019. That was a very special phone with Samsung throwing their weight around showing the world what they can do. Since then, (some would argue since S20 models), downgraded specs. No charger anymore after making fun of apple for doing it. Remember their advert mocking apple? Even the S24+ is the same as an iPhone which is scandalous. Anyways, I now buy Samsung months after release. Only paid £500 for my S23 ultra 12g 512g some months ago. There are very capable devices out there. I used the oppo find x5pro last year for a weekend and the camera's were better than the Samsung. I do enjoy using Samsung phones but will never pay over the odds for something that's not worth what they're asking especially with no charger! I know so many who have returned their S24 phones...

Go to display advanced settings and slide the vividness bar to the right.

I did that and compared the device side by side with another Samsung.  Have the settings the same on video.   It's simply weak in saturation, absolutely dull.   So so disappointing.

My suggestion is noticable improvement but nothing like the vividness in older phones. Truly disappointing. I feel like Samsung tricked me as did the popular online reviewers for not mentioning it.
