The first thing to check is if your email provider uses pop³ or iMAP type account settings.
However the set up wizard should set this up for you.
Try.using the other option when setting up the email address.

When choosing to set up the email use the other option and see if that helps @virginmedia

Hi @virginmedia
Is there a particular need to use unziimap?
Have you tried any other client/app? Even if you do not plan to keep using it, it is good to check that the settings are correct. If another app is working fine, then most likely, it would be some configuration issue with unziimap.
What sort of problem/errors do you get? Try to give the exact error. It will help to troubleshoot the issue.
Are you using the right pop3 server? Check with virgin media that you are using the right settings.
Have you tried IMAP instead? It could be simpler to configure, or pop3 might be supported any longer.
Are you using the right username and password? A simple way of checking the username and password is trying to access your emails using their web interface. Open a browser and go to the Virginmedia website.
I am sorry if all of this is "obvious" to you. If it is not, please do not hesitate to ask for clarification.

Hi @virginmedia
POP3 usually has to be set up. IMAP is usually set up by default.
This error: "pop3/ imap access isn't turned on for this account" could be for two reasons. Virgin media has to enable your email settings, or the app has problems using either protocol.
If either protocol access has not been enabled by Virgin Media, you will need to call them to do it. Maybe you might be able to do it by managing your account online.
If the problem is the app, by failing to talk to the server using either protocol. It could be that the app is misconfigure or it has a bug.
Check the configuration on the app. Make sure, that the host name, username, password, SSL settings and port have the correct values.
Are you referring to the App hen you say that you used Outlook and Yahoo? As oppose to try to access your outlook or yahoo email using unziimap. If you tried the Apps to access your Virgin Medial emails, then the problem should be with the servers on Virgin Media that email access has not been setup and you should call Virgin Media customer support to enable access.
