Video playback muted in gallery on start

Hello.

I noticed that all of videos in samsung gallery is muted, when I turn up volume than can I hear the video.

I was try to set something in options in gallery and in sound assistant, but there's no option.

Does someone have a similar problem?

It's been like that for many years so I wouldn't call that a problem or out of the ordinary.

Yes I have and tried same as you, it's enjoying to be honest.

Would prefer to have sound from start.

Hope some upgrade is on it's way.

I have had my S23 Ultra since Feb 23 and it only started doing this today. Why didn't it do it before if it's been like this for awhile. Had my son check his videos in his Samsung gallery app and his just play, with volume, like mine did before today. Called Samsung and they said it was in the update this month and sent me an article from July 2020 when it actually was In an update. I'm so annoyed!

Yeah I just got mu s23u and realized this... Wasn't a samsung user before.  it is the most annoying "feature" I have ever seen on a phone. Ok, I understand for videos to START MUTED, if this is what they intend, for privacy etc, but then when I unmute, remember that and play another video with sound? At least that? Well, no. What the hell... Searching around I see it is like this for years, it's ridiculous. Also, videos album can't be added to essential albums, whaaaat

Just because its been like that doesnt mean its okay. Its annoying and like everyone can tell not smart. If samsung developers are reading this please make audio on by default in the gallery. Or make an option for it, 99% people(yes I guess so because I have been reading about the same complaint from reddit and other platforms before I landed here) hate it.

Samsung Developers,  please add a toggle  for us users to choose if we want our gallary videos to always start with volume on at a set level or off. I agree that un muting every video is ridiculous in this day and age, especially when we have paid in excess of £1,450.00 for a so called "Ultra" version.

Hold down the tiny mute button on the video and click Toggle Sound

Has nobody found a solution to this? When I click on a video I expect it to have sound not be muted. Is there an option to change this?
