I am intending to film my short stories using my S24u phone before I venture into anything expensive. I've already got an idea to create lighting using a paper lantern over an LED smart bulb. Great idea, by the way.
Going forward, has anyone done something similar? Any suggestions, tips, advice, and links would be most welcome.
It's early stages so cost is important.

The short stories are about people who worked in coal mines—not the mines themselves, but the people, their conversations, interactions, and life experiences.
The idea is to record this for my children, preserving a record of what life was like for mine workers.
I've had suggestions such as using varied lighting, filming at various locations (home, a colliery site, and a colliery museum), incorporating walking and talking segments, and using drone footage—all to add variety.
This is still in the research stage. I'm starting small, so cost is a major consideration. I don't want to spend too much money.
Someone suggested using a phone camera, which are quite sophisticated these days. I tend to go a bit overboard when I get an idea, so filming with my phone sounds like a good cost effective approach.

Just finished watching a video reviewing an outside wireless microphone. Does anyone have any comments on this or any other suggestions?
