Usb drive is iffy

I'm having trouble with my usb drive, when i plug it in, i can see it mounted in solid explorer, but cannot unmount it, so my phone is always asking me to reboot as a consequence... of just unplugging the drive

Found an unmount option within the My Files app but I used to get one in notifications
