Text message reaction

Hey. Does anyone know how to use emojis to react to text messages? I see people reacting to mine but I am unable to do it myself. I have tried holding down & checked chat settings, that just greys out when I select it.

What messaging app you are using? Is it Google or Samsung? You have to turn on RCS messages

Hi @lminvti. I was using Google but recently switched to Samsung to give it a try but still no luck. RCS is also turned on.

I use Google messages and it won't let me react to a person who is not turned RCS messages on it will display text message in the field, where person who has enabled RCS will say RCS messages instead this common between some carriers who just pushed out this and iPhone users to android.

Ok, maybe that is the problem then but I've not been able to do it to any message from different people. Thank you.

Usually it will say this when person enabled RCS and you can react to messages and the ones who doesn't will say text messages on Google messages at least

Does the feature only work in Google messages or both?
