Terrible battery life on one ui 8

After being in the beta for One UI 8 Android 16, the first beta was amazing for battery life. I could get a whole day's battery out of the phone easily with moderate usage, as a normal day would go. Now, when the second beta dropped, battery life was bad. I would have the same usage but get around six hours before it would need charging from a full battery. Now we have the official launch, and just listening to music for 30 minutes, my battery drops from 100% down to 86% with the screen locked and no other processes open either. This is unacceptable for a phone of this caliber. I've always been an Android guy, but at the rate these "flagships" are going with updates, I may honestly make the switch away if this is what to expect.

optimisation can take 14 days as the algorithm relearns your useage patterns.it is advisable to  clear the cache partition after updates as some temporary cache files can become out moded or corrupt.  Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Ensure all Apps are up to date.  You  could also run  the Galaxy Apps Booster from The Good Guardians suite. Sometimes resetting the Battery stats can  help.

you need to turn Auto Blocker off  for the reset, in the samsung phone app type *#9900# and scroll down to Battery stats Reset. Tap on that and restart your phone,  you may wish to turn on Auto Blocker afterwards.  credits to   @lminvti @Piper123  and @Moiramon  who have  also mentioned this recently.

I found my S25 Ultra has lessened in battery life with the later versions of OneUI 8 beta and now finally the official release. I do think it's more software I've added though and now after nearly a couple weeks, it's settling back to where I've been used to. My last SoT reached over 11h so I'm satisfied with it.
