System UI /7 constant charging notifications and heat

Hello, 

I recently updated to OS/15/UI 7. My device is giving constant System UI charging  notifications, 1 to 2 per minute until the device is finished charging. Also, my device routinely heats up during charging- even while sitting  idle. This also occurs after a restart while not charging, or in use. A seperate issue perhaps? I've tried using different fast chargers that were previously working without incident , if this is the problem? I've wiped cache and ran in safe mode  with the same results. Notifications and trouble with overheating. Ive not performed a factory reset.

Yes, I have tried two. But until just recently,  they were not posing any issue if that is now a problem.

Try Samsung original, charger and cable. Anker too

Back up data and factory reset probably should solve the issue. Sounds like apps running in the background or something dodgy happening in the software.

I was learning toward that as well. Its just alot of work, was hoping for a workaround first.

I get that. Once I bought a phone brand new, after installing everything i wanted to make a phone call and there was no sound, so I had to do a factory reset. After that it worked. Sad you have to do it for a phone just a year old.
