Hello,

I'm not usually active on forums (apologies if this is the wrong section), but I wanted to report a very frustrating issue I'm having with my Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: the speaker volume is far too loud, even when set to the lowest level. This creates real discomfort, especially with high-pitched sounds—but not only those. In a quiet environment, it's often unpleasant to listen to anything, even at the lowest possible volume.
Before posting this message, I tried several things in an attempt to improve the situation, but without success:
• I installed third-party apps meant to limit volume, but the audio discomfort persists, even when the sound is supposed to be very low.
• I enabled the 85 dB volume limit in the system settings, but it made no noticeable difference.
• I tested all the built-in equalizer profiles, including the “Soft” mode, but none offered a balanced enough output to avoid harsh peaks. I even tried customizing the equalizer manually.

• I installed and configured Samsung SoundAssistant from the Galaxy Store. I enabled the fine volume steps option (1-step volume adjustment instead of the default 10-step), hoping for more precise control. Unfortunately, the issue remains: either the volume is too low to hear anything, or the next step up is already too loud. In short, it’s really hard to find a comfortable middle ground.
• I also recently activated the “Normalize Volume” setting, which is supposed to level out sudden volume spikes. I’ve just started using it, so I’m still observing how effective it is.
For context: I’m not new to Samsung phones. I previously owned a Galaxy S9, A52, and S21none of them had this kind of volume or sound-related issue. This is something new and clearly unusual for me with a Samsung device.
I chose the Galaxy S24 FE with confidence, expecting a high-quality smartphone, but this audio issue really ruins the multimedia experience.
I would like to know:
• Is this a known issue with the S24 FE?
• Is there a software fix planned?
• Are there alternative solutions I might have missed?
Thank you in advance for any help or insight.

It's a good thing I got an A35 phone case for almost 2 years because when the opportunity arises. I will get the A35. The S24 FE is a beast, but the speaker is a real letdown, it's quality is a downgrade over my A34 which has pretty sound bass and clarity. The A35 speaker is essentially a way better tuned S24 FE speaker with more stronger bass and better clarity of what the FE sound should have been.

When I do get the A35, I will leave the S24 FE as a backup phone for emergency.
