I've just bought a fab S24 Ultra, I love it.
I'm with my partner in Sicily and hoped my AI Interpreter would be able to translate the Sicilian dialect but it doesn't. Although part of Italy it's a totally different language.
Does anyone know of a Sicilian/ English voice translator, either part of AI or anything else?
I thought Google Translate covered Sicilian but it doesn't.
Thanks
Paul

You could try Google Searching for a workaround and or look in the Playstore @Silkweed
Also do send this as feedback via the Samsung Members App so that Samsung can further enhance this feature.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Yes as I've said, I'm only after a voice translator. My partner is Sicilian, her family don't speak any English which is why I need something.

Hi, I'll answer you as an Italian and I love Sicily. I have a Sicilian partner and I'm often a guest in that wonderful land! Regarding your request, Sicilian is a local dialect not recognized as a national language, so you will only find Italian. Imagine, if spoken in a strict way it is difficult to understand for me who am Italian :-))

You can always try to speak Italian, it is the official language anyway

Your joking. Italian is not the official language. The Sicilian language is spoken here, not Italian. Please don't reply with such flippant comments

I'm not kidding, I'm Italian and my partner is Sicilian. Even though they speak Sicilian locally, the official language spoken is Italian since Sicily is an Italian region. If you speak Italian with a Sicilian, they understand the language because it is theirs. Each region of Italy by tradition and customs has its own dialect, which comes from the Italian language.
You will never find a translator who can translate Sicilian, Apulian, Milanese, Sardinian, Romagnolo or the Altotesino dialect for you.

My partners family are in Mussomeli, they don't speak Italian. In fact her uncle had difficulty attempting to speak ot to and from the Samsung Interpreter. They identify as Sicilian, not Italian here.
I ask again for a voice translator from Sicilian to English please.
