Hi @JH97 welcome to the community forum.
It is hard to tell what Samsung will do in the future. However, if the S24 series follows tradition, the camera does improve considerably after the first firmware upgrades. These improvements do keep happening for the software supported period, 7 years for the S24 series, 4 for the S22 and S23.
I also have the S22 Ultra, the stock camera app was not the best on release date. However, it has improved, because most the issues are software related. Just in January we got the ordinary monthly update with security fixes and a second one to improve camera performance. Please note that these improvements, can be bug fixes, but also added functionalities.
You do not say what problem you are experiencing with the camera. If it is the usual lack of detail and noisy pictures, focus, then probabilities are that yes, the camera will improve. If you have a hardware problem, e.g. one of the lenses/sensors is not working, you take a picture and you only get a black picture, then it should be sent for repair.

My problem exactly same as @LisaLD , grainy and lack of detail photos. I'm always think that samsung is overated, but everyone say their camera is the best. What a disappointment to be, especially this is a flagship model. 🙃

i had a problem with the high exposure of the photos, i thought it was a software problem but i found out it was a gallery setting, it was the 'super HDR' option, it changes how the photo is shown in the gallery, turn it off if yours is still on!!!

Samsung "had" one of the best cameras, in the S23 Series. Both S23+ and S23U had amazing cameras with very good processing (except the Expert Raw which was applying a ton on JPEG contrast) from launch day! without any updates, the camera was great. I too own an S24+ and I am totally shocked about how bad the camera processing is: noise level, skin and hair processing etc.
They say an update is around the corner supposed to fix these, but tbh, this looks like fixing an alpha version of the camera, not even beta

I agree. I didn't love my pixel 6 camera but this it literally worse than my last ~4 phones. My really old s7 edge had a better camera. S24+ blurry, low detail messes unless in absolutely perfect lighting and even then its not great.

Very disappointed with the camera, despite a recent update it does not keep up the standard. Indoor pictures are blurry, yellowish and grainy. Only days after purchasing it, I consider to return it. What's wrong with you Samsung ?! 😕

Hi,
I thought it's only myself with this impression, now I see it might be a general issue.
I upgraded from S22 to S24+ and honestly the photo quality on S22 was muuuch better. Don't mention the videos. They all look like over exposed, no natural colour at all. I looked through all the settings and still the same BS. This has to be fixed ASAP.

Hey I'm also curious about this topic. Is your s24+ an exynos or Sd version? I have the same problem like yours. The photo and video quality seems of to me, its like cartoony and not sharp, and it seems struggle capturing moving object, even a slight movement results in a blurry pics. This seems to be happened after the screen vividness update. In your update.. you're saying that it's improving now.. so which update was it? Can you provide us with an updated camera quality? Thank-you in advance.. sorry for my English..
