S24 Ultra Wireless charging not working

I'm having an issue charging my S24 Ultra wirelessly, and sometimes wired. When I place it on one of my wireless chargers (all of which worked flawlessly with my S22+) it initially registers as charging but then immediately stops charging. I've had a couple times I've seen the same thing with a wired charging connection. Anyone else seen the same thing? Love the phone but being able to charge it is a must have feature. 🙂

It could be that this phone isn't fully compatible with the wireless charger you own or it's sweet spot to get a good connection between the phobe and charger is slightly different than that of your other phones.

Have a test by slightly moving it around on the pad.

If a case is fitted then this can hamper wireless charging occasionally.

In regards to wired charging it could also be the cord and charging plug your using.

Can you try another Samsung charging cord and plug to test.

It's early days with your phone so there shouldn't be a build up of debris in the USB-C charging port but it's worth a look with a torch.

Run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App.

If all the above does not resolve the issue then the phone maybe at fault so keep in mind any relevant cooling off period @highmarker

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I've had the wired charging not work once using a genuine Samsung charger and cable which came with a previous Samsung device (remember those days lol).

But it has been fine since.

I once experienced a similar issue when my phone did not have a case. I believe the problem arose due to the awkward positioning of the camera lenses, making it difficult to find the right spot to place the phone for charging. However, with a case on, the phone charges without any problems.

I'm having the same issue on my S23 plus.  It initially beeps and shows it's charging, then stops, the charging lightning bolt on the battery icon flashes for a while, then nothing.  Battery eventually times out and turns off.  It also won't work on my car charger and both my wireless charing batteries.  All work fine on my S21 and my wife's Iphone 15.

I too am having this issue. I have 2 genuine Samsung wireless chargers that worked (and continue to work) faultlessly with my Note 10+.  I was surprised when I awoke this morning to see the new phone (s24 ultra) on 4% charge. It looked to be charging when I put it on the charger.

It has a case but it's a Samsung genuine one that came with the phone (the accessories freebie).

Heard from a source that this might be addressed in the first firmware update. Hope that's the case or I'm returning the phone.

Having a related issue with wireless charging in that it is never 100% charged when I pick up the phone from the charger in the morning! I today used wired and it did get to 100% fine.
I have looked at the 3 battery charge options in settings and tried all 3 but it still doesn't fully top up overnight!

I'd actually thought it had started working. Was fine on my desktop charger.

Then woke this morning. Phone dead. Despite the green light being on my bedside charger apparently it did nothing all night.
