S24 Ultra running HOT

I have submitted a report on this, but as a gauge; is anyone else experiencing quite significant heat when using the phone during gaming or intensive tasks? Lots of a phones get hot...but this is next level heat being generated...

It seems that the first firmware upgrade is very close. It could be a faulty phone or some software problem.

It would interesting to see if other S24U owners are having the same situation. Mine is not meant to arrive until the 9th of Feb.

Test 3 COD Mobile - much better

- load game 32 degrees
- 6 mins play, 34 degrees
- GPU 40-45%
- the GPU is notably less taxed despite high graphics settings
- compared to the other 2 games which had 90+ GPU

If I were you, I would have done the same. It might well be solved on the first firmware release.

Returning the phone might put you on long waiting list and there is plenty time to return it if it does not show any improvement.

iPhones 15 had serious thermal issues upon launch, s22 ultra had issues at launch....things can be fixed / optimised.

Just another one of those early adopter frustrations, coming from a frankly perfect s23 Ultra you expect the new version to improve not go backwards....

Sounds like specific game optimisations. Pretty sure it'll be ironed out long term.
