S24 Ultra - One UI 7 has dropped me from Wi-Fi 7 to Wi-Fi 6

I have S24 Ultra which was on One UI 6 Android 14, attached to my Wi-Fi 7 router and showed it was on a Wi-Fi 7 connection.

Since upgrading to One UI 7 Android 15 yesterday my phone only connects to the router as Wi-Fi 6 as shown on the phone?

Hopefully just a glitch. Are your speeds the same?

Attempt to reset all network settings, does this go anywhere?

Try clearing cache partition
power off the device, connect it to a computer or USB-C headphones, and press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys until the Android logo appears, then release the keys and use the Volume Down button to select clear cache partition and confirm with the Power button.

Try clearing cache partition and check your router settings.

Do you have a single Wi-Fi network name (SSID) for all three frequencies?

I've had the update and so far my phone is firmly on WiFi 7.

Hi, followed the advice from yourself and Reylob.

Cleared cache partition, cleared all network settings, but stubbornly sticks as Wi-Fi 6.

Before connecting the phone sees the router as Wi-Fi 7, but then connects as 6. Router only sees phone as a 5Ghz device.

I'll be putting a Wi-Fi 7 card in my laptop tomorrow and will see how that connects to the router.

Finally worked out that the phone does change to Wi-Fi 7 if I enter the same room as the router, whereas before One UI 7 it showed Wi-Fi 7 in other rooms further away. This is with all three bands on the same SSID.

If I split the 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz onto separate SSID's my phone stays on Wi-Fi 7 at 6Ghz even in other rooms.

Have same issue. Also when I connect to separate wifi 7 6ghz network phone shows wifi 6e instead of 7 but before connecting it showed wifi7

Omg I thought that after updating it unblocked 6ghz wifi but after some time it disappeared and my s24 ultra doesn't show any available 6ghz network again
