S24 Ultra Front camera

I've just received my S24 Ultra and bit disappointed with the front camera pic quality.

I've just upgraded from my very reliable S20 Ultra and noticed a big difference in the front camera picture when I take a selfie.

On the S20 the pic is just as it is on the display before clicking, but with the S24 Ultra the pic looks fine on the display but after I take the pic half my face looks warped, like I've suffered a stroke or something.

Please tell me if there is a fix for this as looking to return it now, not worth the money if front camera is not working right.

I've tried a few other camera apps and most did the same using the front camera so cant be software.

Any help would be appreciated

This is so true. Samsung has really degraded their front camera this time. Too much contrast and noise. SAMSUNG. PLEASE BRING A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO MAKE THE FRONT CAMERA BETTER. This is a serious drawback of this phone.

I have an issue with front camera where it doesn't recognize my face as with he S22 Ultra camera in the darker areas. It thinks my face is a cardboard or something.

That's right. Front camera is much worse than my S21 ultra that I traded in. Huge regrets. @samsung please fix this ASAP!

worse ever selfie camera for Galaxy series. 
i have been using Note from Note 1 until now . S24 ultra is the worst.
I am so disappointed with the selfie function. It will hang and freeze. i prefer Note 20 5G version with soft effect. Makes selfie more beautiful. 
 I hope this get improve very soon. or else it will really a failure upgrade, seems like is downgrading.

Same! Super frustrating! I spent like an hour on the phone with AT&t tech support and then even went to Samsung. No help whatsoever. This is ridiculous

Yes we need an update to the front camera, both selfie and for facial recognition. It's size has shrunk it seems on the S24 series?

I just got the s24 and I'm using the front facing camera for the first time.  All of my selfies look like cartoons. I triple checked to make sure there weren't any filters on.  This explains it,  thanks.  I don't like this.  I want normal looking selfies!

Yes, i face same issue in the frontend camera, where it increase background brightness too much due to which background image is not visible properly.  This is also happen when i see in the front camera at my home with a little bit window open in the background. Here it increase brightness too much that i feel window is open.   This issue must be fix with new update.   Hello samsung ... can you please check this ?

I have the same problem! My nose is slanted to the left so badly when using the front camera, whereas I don't have this problem with my sons samsung s8 plus (which was my previous phone). Bought this 24 ultra a year ago and I been thinking I'm getting uglier and face is slopping to the side and my neck looks badly creased?!?! What's going on with the front camera, it's horrible!! Makes me think I need a full face lift and don't get me started on my chin hahaha

Worst front camera I have ever used. It's crazy too like when you snap the picture it looks great when you open the picture in your gallery If you're watching closely you can watch the picture get degraded in front of your eyes. It's definitely a after photograph affect. Should be so easy to fix with the software update. I have called them every couple months since I bought this phone they said the update from last week was supposed to fix it but definitely did not. This is obnoxious. Regretful purchase. If anything is going to make me leave Samsung This is it. Like literally the only reason I ever bought Samsung was because they always had the best camera now they have LITERALLY THE WORST
