S24 ultra display fix/ refund?

Had my s24 ultra nearly a week and really enjoying the phone (got the green colour which is great in person). 

The display is so bad though; looks noticeably worse than even my z flip3 I came from and, although I usually prefer a more natural profile, it's really dull and washed out no matter what settings I use - photos taken on the phone even look awfuI on the display but better when sent to zflip or MacBook and just reading text is fatiguing.

I know there are tonnes of posts already but seems to be mixed messages as to whether a fix is due?? Approaching the end of my return window so will definitely send back and switch to s23 ultra if Samsung are trying to claim there isn't an issue? 😞

Well I took mine off natural screen mode and onto vivid and took off adaptive colour tone and the display is fine no grainess or washed out colours. The display is fine

Okay. Well it's your choice. So you getting the S23 Ultra instead? I'd assume that the Fold series will have the same display technology when they get released later on in the year.

Still a bit undecided. I really liked my flip so could be tempted back by the flip5 (which is cheaper too!) but really want a good camera and it's been amazing having the battery on this s24. I'll wait a couple days to see how this plays out but will return before 14 if still in limbo - the price diff for s23ultra Vs s24 isn't worth it IMO with current screen/ camera and don't trust support to return later if they decide it isn't a problem

Yeah understandable. Flip is a good phone. Could you be tempted by the Pixel 8 Pro?

That's a super canned response from the Samsung website and I actually got the same response from a rep this evening. Very frustrating that you can't get a straight answer. I'm ok if a fix is coming, but these answers make me question the resolution. I'm in the same boat. Sending it back before time expires and I'll reconsider if ever it is fixed.

I feel you if use BOLD and or high contrast fonts and a bit higher brightness like 50% specially day time it makes.it more bearable
