S24 ultra display fix/ refund?

Had my s24 ultra nearly a week and really enjoying the phone (got the green colour which is great in person). 

The display is so bad though; looks noticeably worse than even my z flip3 I came from and, although I usually prefer a more natural profile, it's really dull and washed out no matter what settings I use - photos taken on the phone even look awfuI on the display but better when sent to zflip or MacBook and just reading text is fatiguing.

I know there are tonnes of posts already but seems to be mixed messages as to whether a fix is due?? Approaching the end of my return window so will definitely send back and switch to s23 ultra if Samsung are trying to claim there isn't an issue? 😞

Samsung have not confirmed this.

The news has jumped on a single story from Forbes who themselves jumped on a single image of a chat between one customer and one customer service agent.

Samsung have not publicly said anything on the matter.

One view is that the colours are by design.
Another view is that a software fix may come in t future.

Nothing has been confirmed.

After over a week and given the scale of comments, it is incredibly poor that Samsung stay quiet and appear happy for conflicting information to be given by their team .
I posted the issue on 24th and have got used to it but not the point.

All the conflicting statements are helping nobody. Swift decisive corrective action is needed asap if it is a software issue. I think the bottom line is that the S24 series both offer Vivid and Normal display modes as options so BOTH modes should be selectable. Vivid mode is OBVIOUSLY not working at the moment. If Samsung were on a new natural colour mission, then Vivid and Normal modes would NOT be offered. Anywhere. For any people suffering or concerned by this issue, this is an undeniable time of stress.

Feel really bad for folk who are having issues with their screen but I don't seem to be having an issue with mine. 🤔? Unless my eyes are deceiving me. Will post couple screen savers, as they look pretty perfect too me. I apologise if others have had issues not disputing your experience just don't understand if it's a software issue why mine seems OK 🫤. If I was unsure re display think I would nip along to some phone shops to see if their S24U's are any better. If they are think you would be justified in seeking an exchange from samsung. Hopefully screen shots load not tried this before 🫣 here goes...

Vivid vs total no difference. Samsung response vs PO Horizon response no difference. Of course nowhere near same scale but these phones are very expensive and we expect a good product and customer care. Product looks good to me but there is an obvious issue in that vivid and natural are the same. Cmon Samsung have the decency to do right by your customers and issue a public statement- so poor the return date has expired for those loyal pre-ordering

Should have added in agreement there is minimal difference between vivid and natural settings but even if software increased saturation I would want my screen set to its current levels. Given I enjoy photos and artwork I like to see subtle differences and images not over intense. I also recommend Goodlocks app for greater choice in personalisation 👍

I agree. It looks awful and I want to switch back to my old one! I tried switching the color settings but there was absolutely no difference when switching between the two options.
