Hi s24 ultra owners,

Got my phone couple of days ago and battery life has been terrible. Getting only 3-4 hrs screen on time with moderate usage.
I used smart switch while setting up the phone

Anyone else having same issues or I have got a faulty phone, with a new phone I am expecting at least 7hrs screen on time.
Thanks

The battery will still be in the learning phase @Billymayn

Also as it's a new battery it won't reach optimum output until its been charged and discharged a few times.

Take a look in your Device Care Section under Battery to see what's using your battery also.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

Hey there

Your device will be in the battery learning stage that takes up to 2 weeks. It will learn how you use your device and optimise the battery.

For the type of usage you mention, at the end of the battery learning I would expect between 1 and 1.5 days overall.

As you used SmartSwitch, it might also be advisable to perform a Wipe Partition Cache as well to clear out any pesky temporary files.

Bro I have used new phones in the past and their battery life were insane. I owned s23 ultra and s21 ultra. Both were too good when new. 😕

@Billymayn I too have e owned quite a few phone's in my time 😉,  and find that phone's perform differently especially android phones as we all set up our phone's differently and use them differently and use different apps etc.

Battery stats is a subjective topic.

The phone is new and will need to be used to allow optimisation as previously suggested.

Ok I will give it a couple of more days before I do a factory reset. It is a pain to set up new phone

Yes it is telling me learning usage pattern. My only concern is that on previously owned phones battery life was great from day 1.

I had the S23 Ultra and S21 Ultra and both went through similar cycles.

I use my S24 Ultra for about 9 hours a day streaming, a couple of hours on top of this for SOT and about 30 minutes of calls and easily get 24 hours battery.

I also tried more normal use. Couple of hours SOT and a small amount of streaming plus 30 minutes of calls and got 2.5 days battery.

Currently I am at 23%. Charged my phone to 100% 6:45 am. Current time 19:40pm

Day consist of 2hr 45 mins of train travel, all day on 4g/5g.. What putting me off is by the time I get to my office in the morning my battery is 82% with 40/ 50 mins of screen on time.

Currently SoT 3hrs 20 mins

I am gonna leave it until it dies off to see how much SOT i get.

Your device is still getting used to you as a person, say you borrowed my phone for maybe 2 weeks, you would notice a different in battery. its because its in its learning phase, give it atleast another 2-3 days so it gets used to you. dont worry😊
