I've noticed that the aod doesn't shift like previous models stays at the top like the iPhone 15 pro

You can turn this off and just have the clock. That's what I've done as I only need the clock. So save some battery life.
But it's a neat feature for sure

Yes it still is the always on display
If you go into settings and Always On Display
Turn off Show Lockscreen Wallpaper
Then you will just have the clock on the Always on Display

I noticed this myself and was going to create a similar topic. As you know have the option to show your wallpaper on the AOD like an iPhone does that mean Samsung has changed how the AOD moves/refreshes to avoid screen burn in?

Would be good to know.

I have the same setting applied, thought the two may be connected as that's how the iPhone's AOD works.
