May security update for the S24 series.

It does not seem to include the camera update that was meant to arrive on May but it has been pushed back to June.

I've done it and there is no obvious issue with the update.

@Glenntech has been indicating for a while now that the camera update is slated for June.

Fingers crossed.

Yes, but it was initially meant for May. I was still hoping until now.

Nobody said May.

All said May be.

It's in June . I expect a big fat Greek wedding style update.

Also. Me.

I don't want an update. I love the look of the photos it produces now that I don't even wanna edit them anymore.
They are so good out off camera.

What do you mean they are so good?

Main camera suffers from slightly green tint, 3x zoom camera is plagued with so much noise in daylight it's not even funny, and shooting at 10x produces so much blooming around details that the entire photo looks like it has some severe vaseline on it's lens.

All of these things can and should be fixed in software, i have even shown a easy solution for the 3X sensor horrid noise for Samsung and a workaround for any S24 ultra user meanwhile.

You can check before and after here on my samsung forum post here:

What's wrong with the photo of the lady again?

I am an Enthusiast photographer.
Noise doesn't particularly bother me as long as my subject is well exposed or comes out the way I want it
I treat mobile photos as mobile photos and don't have high expectations from them and don't really pixel peep.

Last year I actually got the Pixel 7 and I thought that had horrible greenish hues compared to my S21 ultra
It's still lying in my cupboard hardly used.
Currently I love the way the S24 ultra shoots People and for me being more of a portrait shooter the 5x is more up my street.

I am not saying Samsung doesn't have flaws.

But for my style of shooting I just love it and don't even feel the need to edit my People shots anymore.

Each to their own and I stand my ground.

I definitely love the (artificial)bokeh of the Vivo series and hope Samsung brings some of that to us.
For some reason. Samsung's portrait mode has got some weird cutouts now compared to my S21 ultra which I believe was better.

Yeah depending on apps used.

I used to get good battery life on my exynos S21 ultra as well when it was brand new.

Still get around 5 hours SOT easily with all the shebang.
