I agree with @Piper123, they cannot unless. you have allowed them to do so.
How are they connecting to you phone? Mobile hotspot, Quick share, Bluetooth, Smart view?
You could clear the data for all connection applications. This means that you will need to set them again.
e.g. Smart view,
Settings -> Apps
Tap filters the icon at the end of Your apps, select show system apps and filter all.
Search for smart view, tap it, storage and clear data.
A factory reset is quicker but more drastic. The whole phone has to be set anew.
