S24 plus superfast charging no longer working only very slow charge

out of nowhere my phone is no longer superfast charging, is this due to an update or have i got a faulty charging port or battery?

I have done the most recent update, I'm using an official Samsung charger and cable and fast charging is enabled in the settings,

my partner has exactly the same phone and using the same charger is able to superfast charge but hasn't done the most recent update.

Try wiping phone partition cache
Power off the device.
• a USB-C cable to a PC or another device.
• Hold Volume Up + Side Button until Recovery Menu appears.
• Select Wipe cache partition/ Confirm Reboot system.

Then try diagnostics via Samsung members app

What charge does the phone have when you are charging it? The supperfast charge only works when the battery is very low and it will keep using it until the battery reaches 80%-ish, then the rest it is slow charge. It is done to protect the battery.

Battery percentage was on about 50% and saying it'll take 2hours 30 to fully charge

What kind of charging cable are you using, @dec17?

Are you using USB-C to USB-C, as below?

Or USB-C to USB-A?

if you are using the second one, then this will explain why Superfast Charging as not working, as USB-C to USB-A does not support this. I'd recommend using the USB-C to USB-C cable you will have got with your phone.

it is likely that the cable is broken, or no longer supports superfast charging, I would suggest getting a new cable or power brick if the issue continues, for reliability, I would suggest an ANKER charging brick, I have had mine for 3½ years and never needed to replace it.

I would do that but as I've said my partner has exactly the same phone and uses the same charger and is able to superfast charge so it's not the cable or plug
