S24 Original App Notification Sounds

So I just got my S24 Ultra and the ONLY issue that I have is all my notifications for my different apps sound the same. My old phone (S22 Ultra) all had a different notification sound for them, for example, Facebook notifications and Messenger, Snapchat had their own sound directly from the app now it's just one sound. I want to know when it's a Snap or FB without me having to set a sound when they already have that built into the app. I see everyone changing it on their own but I want to know why they took that away when you go into the apps and see that their individual sounds are still there....I KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE SOUNDS. That is not my question, my question is the other Galaxies came with the original sound already set to FB and Snap. And now it's not on the S24.

yes doing what njg28 says, then what hije5 says as well, works. It's really silly as (for example) with yahoo app there are 11 subsets (or category) to be changed.  I reckon some clown has messed up smart switch as i don't remember this happening before. this is probably why the uninstall/reinstall also works.  Why isn't there a general line to cover all sub-categories. Oh well , looks like I'm doing all 11.

Maybe I am missing something. I can't get a different notification sound for individual apps and I have done what other people have said. I only used the smart switch for contacts, messages and sounds. This is what my advanced notification options are and my messages notification option.

Did you turn on this setting @HardcoreMidget

You'll need to go into Settings then notifications and advance settings, manage notification categories for each app.

Then you'll be able to set your own tones.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Might be a different thread for this but does anyone know how to get better/more options for the notification sounds? The preinstalled sounds are not very good.

Enjoy, ads are annoying but it's only £4 annually for ad free and there's a free trial I think

I had the same problem, after enabling the categories, the next problem is that there is no option for "App Provided Sound" that was used on old phone.
The list of avail sounds does have the correct sound fies.
