Hello,

My phone is a Galaxy S24 Ultra and after updating to Android 16 and One UI 8, I no longer have a persistent notification for the ESET MOBILE SECURITY app in the status bar with the ESET icon /You are protected/. It turns out that you have created "Live Notifications", which show the persistent notification in the status bar, but they do not support the ESET MOBILE SECURITY app, which is quite frustrating. Overall, I really like the idea of "Live Notifications", but it should be a little easier to do so that third-party apps can either turn on "Live Notifications" or set them so that they do not disappear from the status bar when clearing notifications, which is what is happening right now. Before this update, the NotiStar application, which is part of GoodLock, took care of this, but unfortunately you updated the NotiStar application and removed this feature from it, which allowed us to choose which application's notification should remain visible on the status bar after clearing it, and for now this cannot happen and this is a big problem for me, because I want to see the ESET MOBILE SECURITY icon in the status bar, even when I clear the notifications.
Please do everything possible and either update the NOTISTAR application or in another appropriate way to correct this problem.
After all, we, as your customers, invest a lot of money in buying SAMSUNG brand phones and I believe that we have the right to give advice that should be taken into account.
Please get back to me with a specific solution to this problem.
Thank you for your time.

Here is the description on Google:

To create a persistent notification from an app in One UI 8, you can use the "Live app notifications" feature to display ongoing updates like sports scores or delivery tracking on the Lock screen or Now bar. For standard notifications, you can customize app notification settings to show them on the lock screen and configure the pop-up style.

Enable live, persistent notifications

  1. Go to Settings and select Lock screen and AOD.
  2. Tap Now bar.
  3. Toggle on the switch next to the app you want to see live notifications from.

Customize standard notifications

  1. Go to Settings and select Notifications.
  2. Select App notifications and choose the app you want to configure.
  3. Under "Show or hide content when locked," select Show always to keep the notification visible on the lock screen.
  4. To change how notifications appear, tap Notification pop-up style and choose either Brief pop-up or Detailed pop-up.

Enable persistent notifications for apps with foreground services

  1. Persistent notifications are often a feature of apps that use foreground services to provide continuous background activity, such as music playback or navigation.
  2. Some settings can be found under the app's battery optimization settings.
  3. In One UI 8, granting an app the exemption to prevent it from being paused by the system will also allow it to run foreground services more persistently
