Hi all

I've seen various posts where people are frustrated about not being able to prevent the automatic post-processing on photos.

I've noticed something interesting about this. It seems that the camera is actually taking two shots, like a burst!

I noticed it when I screenshotted a photo before it got processed, and the TV was in the backgroud of the photo. When I then looked at the processed version, the TV was on a different scene in the background. So the processed version was a little behind the original.

So, are the originals getting cached, permanently deleted, or stored somewhere in a hidden system folder?

If they are not just being wiped, there may be a way to get them back?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this?

Adobe's Project Indigo plans to help with this as it's constantly processing frames while the image viewfinder is on. As such it can set merge at the moment the screen digitiser is touched (You can also set this capture time improvement in Camera Assistant note) Adobes new camera is in beta on iOS currently for it's AI to analyse the required parts of scene frames to provide milder more realistic HDR/reduce motion blur/limit scene change/prevent AI upscale hallucinations. As such it can't digitally zoom as far. It is also limited to 12mp, is extremely CPU intensive, requires RAW post processing after capture for best results and unfortunately isn't out yet for Android as development is still in Alpha stage according to the Adobe devs.

Edit: Based on a recent reply by Adobe it will be ages I'd expect. Andriod is on their roadmap still in early alpha but the teams efforts are set on bringing features and improvements to the iOS app at current. Guess it will be a good year or more. It's taken multiple years just to launch the iOS beta. 😔
