Portrait video

The portrait video mode on the s24 ultra have no ×3 or ×5 optical zoom, its just stuck on the main camera. Otherwise my old s23 ultra can shoot with ×3 optical for portrait video. 

Please samsung, fix this and add ×5 optical zoom for portrait videos.

Hi Mkassem, I checked the portrait video mode, initially it appears there is only a 1x and 2x choice however when I press on the 2x a third option then appears under the initial setting, you can scroll across to 1,2,or3. There is however no 5x I can find in the mode - as yet. Maybe Samsung will develop further options as software develops. Hope you enjoy your S24U I am still figuring photo stuff out, hoping someone will put an indepth S24U photo/video on YouTube some point. In meantime I am googling all the setting terminology as I don't have clue, but exploring options is the fun of a new phone, enjoy your s24u 🤗

Hello darling, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, this 3× that appears when you scroll is just using the digital zoom of the main lens. I have contacted Samsung with this regard, but there's no guarantee that they will add this feature again

Oh I see the only optical options are 1x and 2x, the option 3 is digital. Let's hope the digital software is good, probably only be able to really tell the quality of digital photo options is seeing them printed and if the pixels are sharp enough when enlarged. On a positive samsung will, I am sure, continue to upgrade digital firmware as time goes on. Hopefully you get some great portraits either way 👍
