Samsung are very quick to copy what Apple do. They want to entice iPhone users by wanting to make their phones similar to iPhones. Yet the one thing they fail to copy Apple on, which is the one thing they should be doing, is releasing major software releases for all phones simultaneously.

If Samsung don't pull themselves together, they will end up losing a lot of customers.

I have a brand new S25 & the Google play system update is still on October 2024 & the Security patch is on 1 December 2024.  Both were more up  to date on my S23.

Oh my, devs menage OneUI 7 on S9+ too (Now Brief works on S9+) while we waiting for ordinary February security patch for S24 ultra.😂😬💩

I think the OP has a fair point - the regular schedule roll out this year has been already delayed and further delays are only being done with the new launch in mind. This perhaps not correct for a expensive device and makes the whole software support promise sound hollow - and this is just the 1st year. It is not whether announced or not - it is the delay from the usual timelines that reeks of forced enforcement.

Samsung is expected to roll out SIX One UI 7 beta updates for the Galaxy S24.

beta 6 in April and the stabile in May for s24 and June for s23? we want some explanations! should not be released in Q1? if it will not be released by the end of March pass to another brand one plus or xiaomi that certainly are much more serious than you for those who paid so much a device! congratulations samsung!
