@Piper123 , So let's decide for ourselves whether Ice Universe is a reliable or unreliable source of unofficial information, he can't be reliable for a little while and then unreliable. The information about the delayed update came from him.

Google own android. They released android 15 to their own phones at around the same point as their pixel 9 series, back in September last year at the same time as their 'Made by google' presentations. Of course their phones come first. It would be a bad business model for them to allow other competitors their software to the same timescale.

They release their vanilla android without any additional layer of UI over the top.

So when Samsung receive the android 15 vanilla release, they then 'choose' to wrap it in their own oneui7 which for each different version of phone in their portfolio needs 'regression and compatibilty testing' to ensure there are no issues and bugs.

Beta testing across a larger spectrum helps with that, and to iron out many of these issues... but equally with a large portfolio of phones, including folds, flips, tablets and earlier generation phones... also wirh different qualcom and exynos chipsets... all need to have tests. They can't just roll out software and hope it doesn't break phones due to less resources... else you end up with bricked phones and bootloop issues ( let's not dwell on this in the current conversation 😄 I.e. s22 issues etc)

I have worked in this kind of industry with Nokia many years ago, and have a good idea of the kind of testing that their testing teams probably require to do, to get it released and certified. You would be surprised just how much testing is needed to releas a new software variant... even a simple security update... let alone a major android change.

Of course you and everyone else are very entitled to your opinion, but with all due respect, do you have any experience in software engineering, or the level of work involved in the regression and certification testing required ?

Best regards

Hi, @smiley 😋. I think the S25 Ultra is great and I like the look of OneUI 7, even the egg that represents the battery. Ah, yes, we were impatient for 6.1.(1) too..2 months after Zfold 6 we finally got it...

I just hope Samsung doesn't go the way of Nokia, because that's what many have already started to wonder. I've been with Samsung since its first Android.

I sincerely hope so too. I am also sure that Samsung are very thankful for customers like you who have shown their loyalty over many years.

Nokia demise was quite unique and very unlikely to see a repeat in history like that. A combination of the very first apple iPhone hitting the market by storm and at the same time some major failures in a CEO and the motive of the company.

So I wouldnt worry about samsung going the same way as Nokia. 😉

Where did I suggest Ice Universe wasn't a reliable source of information
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

I also didn't regret staying with the S24 Ultra. Practically, the S22, S23, S24 and now the S25 ultra are almost identical phones. And someone tell me that's not the case and that Samsung developers are more incompetent than the XDA developers who managed to run OneUI 7 on the Samsung Galaxy 8

Creo que la excusa de que necesitan pulirlo y hacer un mejor software funcionaria si no se hubieran enfocado en desarrollar one ui 7.1. si tanto les importa se hubieran enfocado en terminar one ui 7 en lugar de one ui 7.1

You are 100% right.  The Google Pixel 6 series, 5 years old, already had the android 15. Any other brand already had it.  Samsung is forcing customers to buy the S25 series.  This is completely unfair and unsupportive to the customers.

Next year, I will switch to another company
