Notifications

I have a brand new Galaxy S4 Ultra Plus and the notifications will not pop-up on the lock screen. I took my phone to a local At&t store, the manager couldn't fix it either, and she worked for Samsung. Everything is set up correctly. I called 611 for support & the tech wasn't able to connect remotely. The phone continuously routed us back to the pin screen. I did a factory reset, still not working. The software is updated. I powered my phone off for over an hour, still the notifications will not show up on the lock screen. Please help!

Mine are working. Maybe they need to replace your phone or give you an update. Seems like a software problem.

Like @Star_girl said, you might have a faulty phone that might need replacing.

I am assuming that you are in North America. You might like to post on your local forum. They might have experience with your network provider. This is the European, UK forum.

I could see that you mentioned  the software is updated, but

Could you check again that if you tap Settings -> Software update -> Download and install, you get a notification that the firmware is updated.

In addition, open Google Play and check that there are not updates and Galaxy Store as well.

I experience the same kind of problem on my s21 after the latest google play update. And it has happened before some months ago. Back then I tried to reset my phone. Didn't work. When a new update came along it solved it self. But soooo annoying

@Q29: Apologies if you have already attempted this, but please try heading to Settings > Notifications > Lock screen notifications > On > Show content > Tap the cog to the right > All apps (toggle this on, or toggle on the apps you want to receive Lock screen notifications from > Back > Show content when unlocked > On > Notifications to show > Alert and silent notifications > Back > Notification pop-up style > Select 'Brief' > Apps to show as brief > All apps > Show even while screen is off > Toggle this on. 

You should also tap the Back button and ensure that Do not disturb is not enabled, and check the Advanced settings for further customisation options. Let me know how you get on.
